Meet The Team

President

Nick Gladding

Nick Gladding was born in Washington, DC and he grew up in Maryland and Hawaii.  His father was a Naval intelligence officer, and his mother was an English teacher.  After attending various schools because his family had followed where his dad was sent, Nick graduated from both Yale and then Vanderbilt Law School.  His is a Navy veteran, and he served on active duty as a Navy JAG officer for four years.  Upon being discharged from the service, he began practicing law in a large Connecticut law firm.  His legal practice took on a new path when he discovered the terrific intellectual challenge arising from the tension between private property interests, governmental concerns and the protection of the environment.  Environmental law became his driving legal practice.  After his law practice in first Connecticut, then Missouri and finally in Florida, he became interested in public service and he joined many different business and not-for-profit organizations where his environmental and energy background assisted those efforts.  Nick is happily married, and he lovingly enjoys his family and his very special Skye terrier whenever he can.
